It's interesting to hear Steve's take on this. I haven't played the X-14s, but I really liked the X-12s. The only thing that bothered me a bit about them was that they have a really "bulky" top line. As far as performance goes, though, they were super easy to hit, as long as any iron I've owned, and cut through rough like butter. I sold them to my buddy, who then sold them to another guy. He still regrets the choice and says he is going to get another set.
I went to the X-16 Pro version next. Again, a great, easy to hit club. I liked the look of them more, too, because of the smaller head and slimmer top line. However, I don't think I hit them any better than the X12s.
