Hosel adaptor

Need hosel adapter for Bobby Jones by Jesse Ortiz, specifically for the 15° 3 wood, Black Bird Prototype.
The DVS Stiff came with it might be a little too soft for me, wanting to experiment with other options and not have to pull the original shaft.
Where to get additional adapter ?

Okay,

Billy Bob does not carry this adjustable adapter, only the major OEM type.

Bobby Jones by Jesse Ortiz does not sell individual parts, I'm waiting for Jesse to email back on whether there is an after market one which might fit.

News I received was, there is no replacement adjustable hosel adapter for the Bobby Jones golf clubs, not from the OEM and not from the after market.
The tip of the adapter is shaped like square. Not sure if I had seen any hosel adapter with a square tip.

Months later, I called the customer service and received an email replying that I'll need to speak to Jess directly, was given a phone number.

Called during business hours and got an answering message. Left a message in regards to the matter and my email /phone number. No one replied for 2 weeks now.
I finally pulled the original shaft , replaced it with something a bit heavier to see if I could improve on the original light weight design ( which made my shot goes to the right more than 50% ). Poor turf contact. Not sure if the head was way too light ( at 207.9 gm. )
It would be much easier if additional adapter is available.

Not quite sure the money they made from the original Orlimar Trimetal could last much longer in today's competition climate for golf equipment.

I have somewhat the same problem with a Blackbird 17* fairway wood. Called the company and met with somewhat similar experience. It seems that Jesse builds clubs, but doesn't seem interested in repair/replacement/customer service. I shame, since I like his designs, esp the original Orlimars. I'm curious
how you replaced the original shaft. Did you ever obtain any kind of adaptor that works????

The hosel adapter might be a one time deal for that model, Jesse never returned my email or phone messages. I would think the reason to use that off line design to the adapter is to sell more adapter or upgrade the shaft for the customers.

Mine was the proto type for the black bird so it might have the same square insert as yours.

I finally got tired of waiting so I pulled the shaft and use the original hosel adapter to reshaft.

First I moved the plastic ferrule back up the shaft by warming it and slide it back far enough to fit in the shaft puller.
If you're not interested in saving the ferrule you could warm it up and cut it off.
Pull the shaft the same way as others and insert the new shaft.
I put in a graphite shaft with steel tip section, Grafalloy Bimatrx Prototype .335 Graphite Wood Shaft, so no ferrule was needed. The original ferrule is still with the original shaft ( aldila DVS ) , a nice shaft just not working for me on that head.

I have the same issue. Need the adapter for the Bobby Jones Black Driver so that I can replace the regular shaft with a stiff shaft. Would like to keep the original as a backup. Same experience contacting Bobby Jones Golf. They just replied that the adapter is proprietary and not sold separately. Customization can only help sales of these little known clubs, so why not sell the adapter?

Open to trade if anyone wants to swap their stiff shaft for a regular in mint condition.

It surprised me a little they would not produce extra adapters, as the other oem,s have been raping the consumer on the cost for wrenches, weights, adapters, etc. for years.

Seems like a primitive adapter, being square, and allowing for only 4 adjustments.

Why I am not surprised is oem is still the anti-fit model, even with the "adjustable" adapters, oem,s want you to buy the stock shaft set up, where they take in the most $.

Pull the damn adapter and reuse it. If you can't do it, then find someone who can, it won't be expensive, it's literally 10x easier than pulling a head in the "old days". For a handful of reasons I wish they all had adapters, for even more reasons I wish the idea had nver come about.

If you don't care about the shaft, heat the top and yank it with pliers, it will come off. Or if all else fails, send it to me and pay for the shipping both ways, I'll do it for "free" but it will cost you $30 to ship it.

I have a Ping G series driver and really like the adjustable hosel adapter. I have been doing some shaft experimentation and changing shafts with these is so easy. The adapters are dirt cheap on Ebay for $8 shipped.

Rickochet Yep, it is really nice, its so quick and easy. I have 2 adapters for my G30 and move them wound as I see fit.

Sucks that they never returned your call. My dad bought some Bobby Jones clubs from them years ago, my mom tried a few and really liked them, so she drove out there and tried all kinds of clubs and bought what she liked. The customer service when she was there was fabulous.
Apparently you have to drive out to California to get great customer service from them.
