I bought a set of brand new (NOS) LaJolla knife irons a few years ago. They were still in the plastic. I like the design of the sole. I had been playing (at that time) with the TopFlite Tour irons (of "OMG!" fame) and they also have a forgiving sole design.
So I thought the LaJolla's were gonna be a Godsend.
I took a couple of them out of the plastic and went to the range for a session. Couldn't really hit 'em worth squat. I hit my TopFlites WAY better, along with several other old sets I had lying around.
Cleaned 'em, packaged them back up, and sold them on e-bay. Got hosed on the deal, too. Got back about half what I paid.
