Just watched the first two episodes of The Gilded Age. Takes place in 1882 New York City with the story line being the societal divide between old money wealth and new money wealth.

Anyone who’s been to Newport, Rhode Island and seen the mansions from that period and how these people lived might like this show.

Just finished Low Winter Sun on Prime. Very good cop show.

Watched ‘My Best Friend Anne Frank’ last night on Netflix.

True story of a girl who was best friends with Anne Frank. She survived the concentration camp she was in which was right next to the one Anne Frank was in. The woman is still alive at 93 and lives in Israel.

Also, watched another documentary on Anne Frank recently with Helen Mirren basically narrating. It’s called ‘Anne Frank Parallel Stories’.

Both very good.

azgreg Well, at least it's not little Tommy Cruise as Reacher. I read the book this season is based on, so it'll be a little of a let down for me.

      garyt1957 I've read that book also. So far the first episode is concerned, it has been pretty good, and following the book fairly well.

          We gave up. It just got more stupid each episode. I finally realized it's a freaking spoof/parody.

              sdandrea1 Just watched Reacher episodes 1 & 2. I have a man crush. Roscoe is cute too.

              Watched 4 episodes last night, and the remaining 4 tonight. Loved it, and hoping for many more adaptations. If they continue to follow the book order, with Die Trying next, it would be interesting to see what would happen if they made it all the way to season nine and "One Shot" came up in the order.

                Yeah, I read a little about it before we watched it so we knew it was a parody on other movies.
                Watched quite a few Homeland episodes yesterday. Never saw it when it was on. Showtime is running a marathon.

                  I just finished the first two episodes of Reacher and yes, they finally got it right! Even my wife who also watched said "I can't imagine Tom Cruise uttering those lines and not laughing" .
                  Roscoe reminds me a bit of the blond girl from Ozark, especially the way she talks.

                      garyt1957 heads up, there is nudity in one of the future episodes. They DO follow the book quite well.

                          garyt1957 not a bad thing, just giving you a heads up that it's happening, just in case you have young ones around and that is on. Btw Roscoe looks good nude.
