Just started an older series with Glenn Close and Rose Byrne... "Damages" on STARZ.

One episdoe in...Reminds me a little of "The Firm" with Hackman and Cruise. Glenn Close plays one cold, evil, beyotch.

If I need to get in touch with my kids (daughter lives in Vancouver, WA and my son lives on the other side of town here locally) - all I have to do is change my Netflix password. ๐Ÿ˜

        Toulon "Damages" on STARZ.

Watched it when it was originally on FX. Great first season, goes a little wonky from there imo

Didn't find anything I wanted on Netflix tonight. Watched Easy Money (Rodney Dangerfield) with my son on Amazon Prime. We both enjoyed it quite a bit - I hadn't seen it since shortly after its original release.

Kind of a older show, but if you havenโ€™t already watched it I'd highly recommend The Americans. Easy go get wrapped up in this one.

Anybody watch "Man in the High Castle"? I'm pretty sure somebody liked it here awhile back but can't find it. Anyway, help me out here. This will include spoilers, so....

So I'm on season 1 episode 8 I think. In it the Japanese Trade Minister takes a walk outside and sits on a bench. He closes his eyes and when he opens them again he seems to have been transported to an America where the US actually won, a ball game. astreet vendor selling hot dogs, only Americans to be seen. Is this true? It was 1am and I was also messing with my phone so not sure what I saw. I'll go back and watch the last half again but thought somebody could help me out. I hope this show isn't going into sci-fi territory, not my cup of tea. Plus those type shows rarely give you an ending, they just get cancelled. Also when Joe, Juliana and Frank viewed the film Frank and Joe were in it and Joe shot Frank. So that seems to be going the sci-fi route. Just wondering if I should keep watching. The idea of a show about what it would be like if the US lost the war intrigued me, one with sci-fi implications doesn't.

Binged watched all seasons. Couldn't stop. Loved it!

You'll get past the sci-fi part because the script is smart and the acting is excellent.

Yea, I doubt it. I just looked it up to see it's cancelled. Don't think I want to invest in 4 seasons and not get an ending. Early on I thought the idea that the films could be so valuable was kind of silly in a real world setting but now I get it.

Watched The Trial Of The Chicago 7 last night. It was excellent. We watched it on Netflix, but heard it's free this weekend on YouTube.

Aaron Sorkin directed it. Sacha Baron Cohen is great as Abbey Hoffman. I was 13 at the time and remember seeing the riots at the Democratic Convention in 1968 on TV live as they happened.

Can't recommend it high enough. Five stars.

I'm 2/3 of the way through season 2, and have been pleasantly surprised. JK Simmons is a great fit for this role, despite my subconscious desire to see him bust out a Farmers Insurance commercial for a quick levity break. lol

Starz network is dropping the series after 2 seasons, opening the door for Amazon to carry it forward. I hope they do, as they've done reasonably well with their in-house originals.

I rented the News of the World starring Tom Hanks yesterday evening, and thought it was okay. Nothing great, but killed a couple of hours while enjoying dinner.

If you have HULU I would not recommend, "Nomadland". Frances McDormand was excellent in this but I've never seen a more depressing portrayal. The whole movie was really depressing. About a woman who lost her husband and the factory they worked at in Nowhere, NV shutting down killing the town. She became nomadic living in her van. Obvious mental illness and totally shattered from the trauma. Heartbreaking to watch...and this really happened in Empire, NV.

Also, re-watched "Hell or High Water" for the 3rd time. What a great movie.

We're watching another BBC crime series called DCI Banks. Not bad.

The Sister on HULU is a 4-part mini-series. Waste of time.

Last night we watched "I care A lot " really good movie thatโ€™s probably based on a true story.
