After having some fun with the title in another thread, I actually decided to watch Dragged Across Concrete (2018). It is a bleak and coldly acted crime drama starring Mel Gibson, Vince Vaughn, Tory Kittles, and Michael Jai White. Didn’t realize going in that it was 2-1/2 hours long, and halfway through I thought about discontinuing. I stuck it out to the end and was ultimately satisfied with the movie. It’s not great, but different and eventually compelling. Mel and Vince are a couple of hardened cops that get suspended for rough behavior and decide to strike out on a get rich quick scheme that gets them way deeper into something than they planned.
