Watched 'It Ain't Over' (Yogi Berra documentary) on Netflix last night. Highly recommend. His granddaughter was behind it (producer). We really enjoyed it. What a great human being and great baseball player.
Example, Jackie Robinson's first plate appearance against the Yankees. Berra greeted him by saying, "thank you for your service and welcome to the Majors."
Robinson never forgot that. Was very nice to Larry Doby and Doby never forgot it as well. Yogi Berra (U.S. Navy) was at Omaha Beach on D Day providing machine gun cover.
