My youngest...21, only goes to the range with me. After 3 years of never going, he started going with me... And he hits it so good it's crazy...and to see him focused and concerned if one is off line is good to see.
He was fitted for his irons a few years ago. Ping had older gen clubs u could buy brand new so he has G2 irons. He is a lefty.
I picked up a TM burner 3 wood, like Steve's driver, a few years ago as well for him to use off the tee. It's standard length, 15 degree with a senior flex shaft. He hits it 170-180 beautiful swing...he used to take lessons.
Here's the thing...he's 5' tall and weighs 75 lbs.
So now that he sees how good he hits it , it's fun for him and he asked me about getting a driver.
This coming week is the week is the week to do it . Callaway preowned black Friday is usually good.
What do u guys think about loft and shaft? Here's where I'm at.
EBay has an XR 13.5 with a project x 4.5 senior shaft. I can adjust down one and up 2
Also, Ping G30 sf Tec 12 degree with a soft regular stock shaft. Adjustability is Up or down one degree. He draws most everything but a driver for all of us is harder to turnover ...plus the Ping in 12 is only SF.
Both are around the same price. Most of what's on CPO is 10.5 degree.
