So, as I have probably mentioned before, I kind of re-worked my entire swing this season. Early results were spotty but encouraging enough to stick with it. The driver was the last thing to come around, but over the past few rounds I have been hitting it much better, too.
I finally feel like my iron play is solidifying. On Friday I walked 9 holes at a local course, and, after a slow start, I hit the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 9th greens in regulation, making a birdie putt on 5. I hit the fairway on 4, 6, 7, and 9 (5 and 8 are par 3's). I felt confident and swung it smoothly. The last two irons I hit were just flushed and felt great.
Isn't it just typical that within two days the weather kind of turned? Rainy weekend and now much, much cooler than it was. I am hoping to get a few more rounds in to "cement in" the swing changes I made and keep gaining confidence.
