I bought a set of G irons 6 to P, U, S, soft regular graphite. I extended the 8, 9, P, U, S as my other clubs are but another story. The SW was OK but I hated the UW especially on less then a full shot like a flop shot over a bunker.
On a lark I bought (for short money) two old Cleveland CG15 52 and 56 wedges, black finish. Reshafted them with 60G graphite shafts, extended them, and they came in at about D9. These things are F'n awesome. I can make all the touch shots with the 52 and the 56 works great from the sand. Had 3 sand shots yesterday and was close enough to one putt two of them. Even with the bad sand shot, I was on the green
For an experiment I am going to lead tape the PING UW and SW to get them to D9 and see what happens.
