I'm now bionic - new right hip. Now, if I could only put some weight on it....
CONGRATS and WELCOME to the club!!! Had mine done 3/7. Wish I had done it sooner. Was walking without a walker in 2 days. My PT wanted to kill me when she caught me. You're gonna love it!!
Hey, that pic's cool! I gotta get one of those.☺
Great to hear Ken. Now just remember to watch it getting out of the sand.
👍👌
FauxAmish You can't go wrong with titanium.
kenner FauxAmish You can't go wrong with titanium.
Is it forged or cast?
kenner
What alloy? I want SP-700 or better!
Congrats. I have titanium shoulder and knee. Have fun at the metal detectors!
DC300 Actually, it looks like the equivalent of titanium pot-metal. Intentionally porous so that the bone can send in little bone-lets and meld together with it.
And, yeh, there's some plastic parts too, mainly the socket.
My joints are multi-material - I have plastic in my shoulder along with the titanium.
Congrats, and wishing you the best with your rehab and a better quality of life with the new hip!
kenner hmmm I could send them some drivers to melt down, maybe we could have a group donation and discount program 😜. That's pretty cool out bones bond into it
You will put weight on it and be more comfortable walking than you have been in years. Just don't take up running.
braveheart Yeh, that's what the doc said. Guess I'll never make that first slam-dunk, but I'll muddle through somehow.☺
kenner glad I got that outta my way early in my career.

Just glad to hear that two good friends, LB and Kenner are back at it, and feeling fine. 😎
FauxAmish Thanks Pop! Looks like the hip has done wonders for my back ailments as well.
