FWIW, I have a bunch of Accuflex original shafts, including several of the said "real EVOs" (so I guess I won the lottery). The problem with shafts is that they cost an arm and a leg to ship, so I will get people say, "Hey, you have an original EVO!!! That's like finding gold! I'll pay you $35 shipped." Um, nope.
Funny story, though, (well not so funny, but...), I had heard how great these EVO shafts are so I dry fitted one into a SMT head, which I believe has a 2 1/4 deep bore. I made the newbie error of not sanding the paint first, and the shaft bound into the head and I couldn't get it out; not even with shaft puller. I ended up cutting it off (I was told later that using heat might have got it off). The result was that I had an already stout shaft tipped 2", so I threw it in the corner as a possible 5- or 7-wood shaft somewhere down the line. Two weeks ago I threw the shaft into an Acer Thriver head that I bought from someone on this board. I cut the club to 42" length and OMG! I can hit this thing almost as long as my driver and hit it on a string. It is so much fun!
