Does GHIN , not allow any member to view other members scores ? Up here the GHIN Equivalent does. Of course no good if no GHIN cap. I think everyone had one except the couple locals that filled in.
For the most part we all know one another and each other's capabilities. I think the 75% of handicap also helps matters. I agree with Rick regarding the " guests" .......perhaps in a friendly way ask to either provide proof valid handicap or asses a penalty ( 20%) or that they don't take part in the tourney round, of which there are only 3 anyways.
For those few who want to play back a deck or 2 , easy to adjust their cards...only a dot or two more.
Venue, hard to beat it for cost, weather, number of courses . Last thing I want to do is spend $2000 and have golf not happen due to weather. In 10 trips to Phoenix, I've have yet to have a round called off due to weather.
We had by my count 20 participants this year of which 1/2 were locals so again another reason the venue works.
Cost: most we paid was $80 for each of the 2 We KO Pa courses, perhaps the best layouts there, average for my 7 rounds was ~ $60 per and that's great considering the quality. I woukd say $80 is the high water mark.
Tee times: I'm not a morning person but found playing early perfectly fine.
Games: I really like the 3 events we currently have (money round, Ryder Cup, and Desert Storm Championship) it's all fun and only 3 rounds of several for most of us.
I think a 2 or 4 man scramble would be fun to add in as one of the extra rounds one day but probably best at a low-mid priced course day. If we need another Trophey , I have one I can donate.
Always fun to play for something even in the fun rounds. Playing for skins is easy, toss in $10 each for gross and net skins, you don't have to go in gross if you don't want to. I'm happy to take on the responsibility of organising this part.
I don't think anyone has the demeaner and patience that you have to run the show Rick. You do a fantastic job !
