First, info about me. I've been back in golf for roughly 5 years after about 22 years away from the game. I try to play as much as possible, which is about 50-60 rounds per year given my work schedule and Missouri weather. I consistently shoot low to high 80's, and have NEVER broken 80. My all time best is 81, and that was a few years back. Well, that's changed now.........
I picked up these irons in trade 3-4 weeks ago. I promptly went out soon after and shot an 82 with them. Forward to last Sunday and I shot an 81. Fast forward to today. I played 54 holes today, and felt like I could play more. First 18, I shot 81, which tied my personal best. 2nd 18, I shot an 84, and I may have thought I was getting fatigued. 3rd round of the day I not only broke 80, but I blew by it with a 76. Holy shit, Batman! I was so stunned and stoked, wow!
The irons-these are setup at 8-iron length with Wishon S2S White graphite in stiff, midsize grips, 4-SW. I kinda struggled with the sw, so today I took it out and put in my Cleveland RTX sw and lw. These irons are money, straight as a string and as long (distance wise) as most other game improvement irons with strong lofts. The short irons are slightly longer, long irons the same, but distance gaps are really good. I'm struggling a little with the 4 and 5 irons, but will overcome the large draws eventually. The 4 thru 7 irons sound really cool when hit on the screws, kinda like a mini driver ting noise. All the irons feel soft, especially the shorter irons. I can't believe how quickly I've acclimated to these irons. I would have never thought these would fit me after the short, failed trial I had with the In1zone irons. I've got a feeling these are staying in the bag for awhile, which is saying a lot for a club ho like me.
