Mine's fixing to be a 4-iron. I'm officially finished with trying to figure out exactly how to hit a f**king hybrid. My feeble mind can't sort out the difference between a sweeping fairway wood angle of attack or more of an descending blow with an iron-type swing.
I cannot be the only one who struggles with this concept. But if I am - I am no longer.
4-iron is going back in the bag, with 5-wood and 3-wood.
Got a new Ping 400 series 7wood coming next week, so we'll see what the differences are. I still might keep the 4-iron for punch-out, low-running rescue shots (from under trees, etc) and get rid of the 5-wood, and play that setup. It's not like I hit the 5wood that great anyway.
The 7-wood, however, might be a difference maker. Haven't had a 7-wood in my bag for several years, kinda looking forward to it.
