When I played Kapalua, I had been playing golf for all of 2 months. I don't have any idea what I shot, since:
#1) I wasn't following the proper rules of golf (didn't know them all yet)
#2) I know I took some illegal drops because of the long native grass on the sides of the fairways
But! On #8, I cleared the gorge (not on the green though) and walked off with a 4.
On #15, on my approach to the green, I had the ball come up short and roll back to my feet twice. I then watched the pro's play it 2 months later and watched some of them do the same thing.
On #18, I hit a big fade that ended up being a perfect drive. The other guys in my pairing all hit really nice drives that all bounded into the long grass on the left. I tried to go for the green in 2 (playing the white tees) and ended up flaring the ball to the right, which meant I had a lay-up. I think I walked off with a 6.
