This week the LPGA tour will stay in Scotland for the second consecutive week, for the playing of the Ricoh Women's British Open. Ariya Jutanugarn will be trying to defend the title she won last year in Milton Keynes, England, when she won her first Major Championship by 3 strokes over Mo Martin and Mirim Lee.

Last tournament before the Solheim Cup teams are finalized. The Scotch Open was good let's hope this tournament far surpassed it. Not much of a links style courses, but they do make for interesting tournaments. Far different than those in the US Open venues.

I forgot the thing stated at 3AM on the west coast and missed all but the last hour. So I missed Michelle shooting her -8 64, bummer. Glad she is back and healthy again. She had a nice run until she got hurt once again. Hope all goes well for her this week. Lexi -5 so she is once again in the race for another Major.

Interesting so far. Beautiful course. Michelle finished double bogey, bogey to put herself a ways back.
Should be a good weekend of golf.

IK Kim running away with this thing. Didn't help that Georgia Hall 4-putted the 17th green.

Kinda pointless to keep watching. Kim is running away with this. She just seems much more composed and competent this week than everyone else.

Well... IK Kim coasted into victory this afternoon, despite a valiant effort from Jodi Shadoff. Third win of the year, seventh win in her career.

Given the Asian dominance over the past several years, the Solheim Cup, with all due respect, has never seemed more insignificant. In fact, perhaps the American and European gals would do well to join forces to compete against their Asian counterparts in a Ameri-Europe vs Asia cup.

The competition would be much more entertaining and legitimate, imo.

PA-PLAYA IMO there should be a Presidents/First Ladies Cup team...Most laughed when I suggested USA would compete well in this type event against the Korean players and I still feel the same way. IMO it would surpass the Solheim Cup in short order.

Re I-K's win....she leaked some oil but her misses were in front of her and she held it together....her lead was insurmountable.

Kim played so well that it became a tournament for second place. Nobody was gonna beat her this week. Very impressive.

Wie was amazing on the front nine today but then she ran out of gas.

When she got to -13 at the turn I thought she might put some pressure on IK, but although she did get to -14 she ended at -13. She was -17 for her first, third and fourth round the second round 76 really hurt her. Another top 5 for her. I am glad IK won she now has vindicated herself after missing that 12" putt some years ago at the Kraft Nabisco Dinah shore some years ago.
