Man, I really wanted these to work. I bought these (barely) used, took a chance on a ebay auction with few details and got an amazing set of irons. But, unfortunately, the shafts are just too heavy for me. The short irons were great, but I just can't get through with the long irons.
This is a 5-pw set of Ping s55 irons, with factory installed UST Mamiya Recoil 110 F4 (stiff) graphite shafts and Ping stock grips. Also, a Ping Glide 50* wedge with same shaft. Serial numbers match on all, including the Glide wedge. Black dot, standard length (38" 5i to 35.5" wedges).
Condition is great. 1st owner said he only played them 3-4 times, I played them for 6 rounds - and never hit off those nasty range mats that we have here in SoCal. There are no dings of any kind. As with any Ping, you know these will hold up well.
Their fate was sealed as I was playing in Phoenix last week. I had a ball in the desert, with an easy shot - but I refused to hit these clubs in the desert. Just too pretty. I play too much in the desert to have nice clubs.
New s55 are $125 per club in steel, the Glide a bit more. The Recoils are $45 each. A new set would run you over $1K. This set, in an easy 9.9465+ condition, is offered at $450 shipped CONUS.
Price is firm, no trades, sorry. Any questions, just ask.
