There is no solution to the real question here. I hit the ball long, there is one hole that I desipise/ can't wait to play at my favorite course. It's an SOB, par 5, 500+ yards, dog leg right and about a 100 ft rise over the span, oh and the hill also slopes left to right so it works against holding the ball on a decent angle in to the green. If you hit it in the fairway the damn ball rolls back to you, literally the best strategy is to hit the ball in the rough on the left side, just off the fairway, it sits there that way, then you have a 200+ yard shot (assuming 275+ off the tee) into a little cove in the trees to a 2 tier green. I don't care what tees you play from on this sumbitch you either carry the ball 230 uphill off the tee or you are looking at double bogey. My wife ( still odd to say that) hits a low ball and doesn't carry a lot, refuses to play it most days. It's so damn impossible to get to the green for someone who can't over power it.
The good thing for me and all I can suggest to you is I found a way to play the hole to my strength, I let my draw take the ball to the left and hold in the rough, then hack at that thing to get it close to the green. I have had an eagle putt once, got par haha. If you really can't figure out how to play it, then try to carry it as much as possible, the ball goes further that way.
