Paducah was great... I was born and raised in Eastern Kentucky, so when my wife got an offer to relocate to Paducah from Houston - it was an easy decision for us, if for no other reason than to be approximately 5 hours removed from visiting my folks.
It was a big change, but I must admit that I missed the authentic Tex-Mex style restaurants and undoubtedly the best BBQ cuisine I'd ever eaten. But the quieter pace of life really appealed to me.
Paducah is a great town. I really do miss it.
PS - a buddy of mine took me up to Evansville (where he went to college) and we played golf. We ate dinner at a Larry Bird establishment (which may or may not be open now). Memorable time...
