True, But think of all that he has done for the game.
Think about all he has done for junior golf.
Think about what he has done for lesser than Major events.
Think about his impact on apparel.
Think about what may be lost as to the legacy of his parents and all of their work ethics.
Think about what he has done for televised golf.
Think about how sports contracts across perhaps all sports will be changed and eventually litigated.
Think about what he has done, perhaps for the entire sports industry, not just golf.
Think what he has done to his own legacy.
But now, try and think what his absolute selfishness has done to those near him at the moment. His son, his ex-wife and how much she will have to answer for, the laundry list of love interests since the golf club through that original car, the kids that have idolized him and wanted to be like him..... The list is significantly longer and deeper reaching than points made here.
Clearly a serious problem. A problem that comes far to easy with a convenient excuse which will be used again and again.
The world, big or small, depending on how close you are to it right now has skipped a beat. It will be heavily impacted and never able to return for the next "star".
