See, now that's your opinion which is your problem. And I'd make it mine too. When it comes to law enforcement, there too can come a significant point, even though some might read it as semantics - it's not. I've seen the positive effects of having police move from a model of "Police Force" to a "Guardian" model - and to substantiate this opinion I'd put forth the city of Camden NJ. They completely changed their police force to this guardian model, had officers - in pairs - work the streets/neighborhoods of that city and significantly reduce both crime and murders.

Perhaps you've not run across the little details about how Trump stiffs hired security details for his rallies? Yup, check out Butler, PA - presidential campaign, 2024 and how he stiffed them on the venue costs. LOL
And btw, since you might not have actually attended a "protest", many are held for free, in public venues like parks that never spill into the streets or inconvenience anyone. (Although, the food trucks don't mind.)
