I hit mine off the turf if I have trees in the way, need to keep it low, and think I still need to eat up some distance. I choke down to the bottom of the grip, take a 1/2 to 3/4 swing and limit my follow through. Sort of a punch shot,
but if you catch it right it'll run for miles.....
