What's on your mind so far.

Does Miami (OH) ger in. Committee seemingly has a choice to make. The resume is wins.....and nothing else. 1 ok win vs Wright St. who won the Horizon regular season and conference championship....other than that their resume is bad. If they blew through the regular season and blew out most of the teams they played, I'd say the eye test puts them in...but they didn't. Enough close wins vs teams that won't be in any tournament. This happens where these small and mid major conferences teams win the regular season and lose in the conference tournament and have no chance to get in, NONE and at times they at least play a few teams of note in the non conference. Last point I'd like to make is that the top 25 ranking is not deserved and a vanity ranking. Look at any projection of where they are seeded and that tells you a ball park of where they should have been ranked and put a loss on their record and they are likely on the outside looking in. Could be interesting to see what happens.

ode Yes, easy decision, especially if Akron wins the MAC. 31-1 and still not easy.

Bravopilot seems like every projection has them in as a 10 or 11 and not the last 4 in either....could change based on conf champ game upsets forcing another at large bid. Haven't paid enough attention to those scenarios to see if it would even matter. Dicky V would be saying.to out em in baby!

Unfortunately, I’ve already mostly tuned out. My two favorite teams Memphis and Miss St. didn’t cut it this year.

Still will watch some. I enjoyed watching Florida and Kentucky playing the SEC tournament earlier today.

Haven't followed much college hoops the last few years. It was bad enough these guys leaving for the NBA after a year or two, but now they just go somewhere else for more money --free agency on 'roids. But I'm in favor of putting these smaller schools in when they have great seasons. They're probably not going to beat Duke or Arizona, but it gets a different fanbase excited, gives the alums something to talk about the rest of their lives. And if they make it through a few rounds, it gets everybody talking.

garyt1957 only wins vs tournament teams (team) are the MAC conference tournament champ. It will be the worst resume of all at large teams by far. Whilst they can't help what conference they are in, they didn't win the conference tournament and their resume should be scrutinized vs the other at large teams.

College hoops is the best! (At least I prefer it over the NBA style.) I'll start following the tournament now that conferences have wrapped up their contests.
It's a great way to 'end' winter and get ready for more pending golf!

But they didn't. They are a MAC school which plays a decent but not great schedule. Any MAC team that wins 31 games should be in.

garyt1957 It was a hypothetical, but their strength of schedule was 194th out of all 365 teams, right behind Old Dominion. They had zero quad one wins, and they had to go to overtime in two or three games against mediocre (at best) competition. They would be lucky to have four or five wins in the Big 12.

rsvman2 exactly , they don't deserve it but the committee vote is what matters. They have a legit chance to win some games with the play in and then facing a 6 seed if they win. Not like SMU is coming in on a hot streak.

I get it, but a lot of schools get in with resumes like that if they win a weak conference. 31-1 would be tough for me to leave out.

For me, AZ should be the favorites to win it all, given that Duke is missing its point guard (broken blmemin the right foot) and possibly its starting center as well (hasn't played at all in the past four games and is listed as 'possible' for the opening round game.

Even with Duke at full strength, a game between them and AZ would be a toss-up, and Duke has a brutal bracket and might not even make the Final Four.

I like the AZ team. Good luck. This could definitely be your year!

I'm trying to be a bit cautious since we have a track record of underperforming in the tournament. With that being said I really like this team. Might just be the toughest team ever at Arizona.

garyt1957 indeed that is how the committe.voted and suspect they would any year a team has this resume. The issue is have is its incomplete, not worthy and here is why. They play a tough non conf schedule and lose those game/s......they blow through the regular season record (many close and OT wins) and lose in the conf tournament. They don't get in they don't even get considered. They should not be rewarded for beating a bunch of cream puffs.
