Par4QC Years ago I would have totally agreed with you. I remember trying a 60 maybe 25 years ago and I immediately tossed it in the basement.

The 60* WS/LB was a game changer for me. I know a guy that takes advantage of a Cleveland SmartSole wedge that makes my TM Hi Toe look kind of small lol. I do think they can be cheat codes if you don't want to get too cute around the greens.

Yeah, they are for limited shots imo. And we are not Pros.
I have a 64 that I might take out occasionally for shits/giggles. But only when I'm playing alone. And only use it from the rough, greenside, never from a FW lie or even a 3/4 to full swing. Gotta protect even myself.😆

Par4QC My neighbor had one of those. He was an even worse golfer than me, but as president of a bank he had a lot of disposable income and usually had 20 clubs in his bag . He would use it around the yard with some success, but there could have been some funny viral videos of him in golf league using it lol. That thing had no bounce and a razor sharp leading edge. 😲

I have a 64* PM Grind I do the same with. It is amazing what it can do from thick rough around the greens, but you really have to commit to it and that's tough to do playing once or twice a week and hardly practicing at all. Better just to try not to shortside myself as often 😞

Par4QC Black Widow wedges, something like 0*.

I used mine as a desert wedge and it was awesome off the hard pan.
It could also rip my carpet up or peel off a nice pelt on demand.

KCee I have that same wedge. Loved it but sort of a one trick pony so I took it out of the bag. I have a lost and found MG3 like my other wedges that was a 60 degree LB and I had it bent to 62 which will make it standard bounce but I haven’t swapped it out with the TW 60 yet.

VigilanteTrail Be aware of how bending will affect the bounce. Going 48 to 50 will give you 2 more degrees of bounce…. It’ll dig less. Going 52 bent to 50 will be 2 degrees less bounce and depending on your swing might dig. Could be tough to chip with around the green.
