Any club(s) must be at least 15 years old but no more than 75 years old…and you MUST have played at least one round of golf with said club(s).

Oh and BTW…said club(s) had to have stayed in your bag for MORE than 24 hours to qualify as a “Solid” club…hear that Steve?!?!? @sdandrea1

This pair popped up for sale tonight locally on FakeBook…Reax shafts and all…man o’ man I used to love hitting mine back in the day…along with the same generation of driver…

VigilanteTrail I have a 4, the made for Fujikura S shaft in it plays softer than the after market one. Still a solid performer, no changeable hosel no over done weights In and out of my bag with old Adams hybrids. Thought about change the shaft but left it alone and use it when my shoulders are not feeling 100%.

Yup…I just decided to change the thread title and I also added some simple rules…“Retro” was not really valid…”Vintage” more adequately describes my intention of this thread 😜

I played the Dynapower irons a couple of times recently and they are fantastic. Unfortunately, my joints just don't get along with steel shafts anymore. The Taylor Made Midsize (gave the driver away) was a great 3 wood for the day. Modern is better, but even then, I can't reliably launch 3 woods anymore. The swing speed will do it, but the inconsistent face contact is a killer.

johnnydoom My father had a set of those Dynapower irons in his garage. I'm not sure why or how he came to have them since he rarely played golf. I had them in the back of my shed/workshop, and I wish I'd taken better care of them. The grips had disintegrated, and their faces were pockmarked and tarnished/rusted the last time I looked at them. I didn't play golf until I got to college in the late 60s and took it as my PE 'elective'. I would bet those Wilsons were the first clubs I dragged to a course.

I had the full set of TM Burner Plus (1/3/5) when they came out in 1988.
First purchase I ever made with my Credit Card. Bought at Nevada Bob's Golf and Tennis store.
Played them for 10 years until I got into components.

That's what did away with my System 2 Midsize woods. I discovered FGI and Diamond Tour Golf at about the same time in the early 2000's.

First set of clubs was a hand-me down set of Power Built Citation Irons, Driver and 3 wood. Could never hit the 2-3-4 iron above worm-burner height...

raggmann54 It’s amazing how in High School back in the 1970’s all we had were blades so you just knew how to hit a 2 iron. Everything was a tiny blade…. Made no difference

First set were some small blades that were my grandfather's and some old woods. I played them in an after work league for a season and then my father-in-law gave me his Ping BeCu Eye2 set with some Ping woods and a Ginty. I sucked with either set although that Ginty was easy to hit.

VigilanteTrail I really loved that club! I would choke that down to the steel to avoid using an iron lol! Too bad the wood face just started falling apart. I did come to appreciate the Ping Eye2 set once I got used to them.....but they were fugly.

My Father-in-law loved them too. He gave them to me and I used them for a year or 2 and then he wanted them back. I think his words were something like "you have been playing a few years now and haven't quit so you should go buy your own set" lol. Then later he gave them back again and I sold them to another Buzzer who had a moment of nostalgia 🤣
