Depending on your club head speed and playing length that you can consistently impact in center of face that will tell you what types of clubs will "fit" you best. Majority of rec. golfers use not enough loft in fairway woods to launch high enough to carry.
Plus add Wishon hybrids use S2S shaft profile and .335 graphite shafts to launch higher. .370 iron shafts can leave a lot to be desired in hybrids for launch angle and carry height to stop approach shots on green.
Lots fo factors that majority of rec. golfers don't consider and what is really playable. Like this.....
azgreg I'm now on the wrong side of 61 and the guys/group I play with still play at 6000-6500 yards. I don't hit the ball as long as I used to so for the most part it's driver all the time.
Move up no one says you have to play from the same tees as your younger buddies. ☺
