After our venture to Bandon Dunes 3 years back for my 60th we decided on another Keiser brothers resort Sand Valley in central Wisconsin.
My bud and i flew into Chicago and Hobbit and Tim drove from St Louis.
We met at the very pretty town of Green Lake Wisconsin and played the Lawsonia Woodlands day one and the Links day 2. I preferred the up and down tree lined Woodlands but maybe because i had a good score and took all the $$$.
Day 3 off to Sand Valley. Mark and I arrived late missing our Sand Valley tee time due to me needing to go to the ER to get drained as I forgot one of my BPH meds .Rick and Tim made the tee time and Mark was able to get on after lunch.
Rick, Tim and I played the unique 17 hole par 3 Sandbox course.
day two we played Mamouth Dunes in the morning and Sedge Valley in the afternoon. Due to my condition I was exempted a cart which the caddy drove. Both were unique and fun courses.
Day 4 off to The Lido, perhaps the most unusual , fun and one of the most enjoyable courses i have ever played. Watch the video if you have not before. It's a great history lesson. Personally tied my low score of the week with a 77 BUT Rick and Tim held on to the USA/Canada Cup with a 5-3 victory ....

Checked into Erin Hills on Thursday night and walked Erin Hills course Friday. While I loved the course and day, was probably a mistake and ended up back in ER upon arriving home. I am ok however , just need to be less stupid and not walk and play a very hilly course with a catheter.
Great trip, lots of fun and laughs and some unique and awesome golf.
