Our course was needing some new numbered key tags for the EZ Go carts.
Hey I can make some on my 3D printer,no problem....WRONG!!!
Some d-bags are taking the damn tags off the key rings while they're out golfing!
I made 65 of them and we're already missing 8! WTF

darpar That's bad, but there may be a biz op there for you and the course.
People steal such things, but they would also buy them, much like course logo balls.
Just a thought.....

btw....need to get different key rings for the ones going on the cart.😉

That does seem like an odd item to steal. Not at all sure what utility the tag would be outside the course. Don't think I've ever seen tags numbered for carts before, I thought they were all universal.

The owner bought all the carts instead of leasing them, so when you check out a cart you
have to sign your name on a sheet with your phone #, in case any damage occurs to the corresponding
cart #.....that formality sort of works I guess. 🤔

darpar Some courses around here used to have a 'key charge', refundable when turned in to desk after play.
They also had little tags attached, so would have been noticed if missing.

I suggested that they could charge a $5 deposit per key, in hopes of avoiding this goofy ass situation.
But the pro shop manager doesn't want to listen to me half the time.

Perfect example: months ago I said why don't you guy's stage the golf carts out front near the parking lot,
so customers can access them more conveniently, instead of having to search for your assigned cart in the
cart barn......"We don't have the room out front"! Which is total BS,he just didn't want to go to the trouble of moving
carts out front first thing in the morning.
Now they just started parking the carts out front! FIGURES! LMAO

So my thinking now is to super glue the remaining key tag rings together, making them harder
to open and remove the tags from.
I'm just pissed because it took about 6 hrs of printing time to make all those little bastards!🤬

Just make new ones that are plain square with the number on them. No one would want those. They're probably finding the actual little carts cute or something. God forbid you make anything that looks decent.

Instead of the key rings that are split and you can slide keys or tags off with your fingers what about using something like a small chain link that you can squeeze closed with pliers and would take two pair of needle nose to open back up?

Why even bother making anything nice…. We use member tags with the stickers on them that have the cart numbers. People show their appreciation for your work by stealing it.. fuck them all.
