So, I picked up a set of old forged Adams Pro Gold cavity backs for the sole purpose of trying out the i95 stiff shafts that were in them (5-P). I've got 30 days to try them out.
Well, 3 rounds in and I'm starting to like them better than my g25 irons.
After two rounds with, I took both the Adams and pings to the range before today's round with the intent of putting the pings back in the bag. It didn't happen.
I'm hitting them the same distance and I'm hitting them as high. Needless to say, I am shocked.
That stated, these are a little beat up and starting to brown a little. What similar type heads would be a good fit for these shafts.
