johnnydoom Happy J.J. got the win after hanging on all week and then having the bad luck on number 2. I guess the rain break allowed him time to connect back with some good mojo.
Spuzz Very deserving winner. The playoff loss to Rory at the Players helped him handle this stage. Good on him.

johnnydoom Par4QC Didn't even realize Conners was absent. I thought Oakmont took him out, but not in a literal sense. He was one of the "accuracy" players I considered picking and he was in it for a while. I just didn't trust his Sunday putting. Someday he'll probably have a Hideki or Henrik breakthrough and get him one.
ode johnnydoom Conners His putting will hold him back. When under pressure he has a tendency to leave them short!
Spuzz ode His putting will hold him back. When under pressure he has a tendency to leave them short! The ironic/sad thing is, his putter was saving him up until he hurt himself. :/
Sneakylong And, as noted by Justin Ray on X, it turns out that McIlroy became the first player in history to post 10 rounds of 67 or better in the US Open.
Sneakylong Just as an aside I was reading about JJ Spaun and found that he is a type one diabetic. After originally being misdiagnosed with type two diabetes.
jsippy73 Found out from my oldest that JJ went to same high school that my grandson is going to. San Dimas high school, San Dimas, Cal.
Par4QC azgreg Once he got past JD II, it was easy.......... https://championships.usga.org/usamateur/2025/scoring.html
