I finally finished building my patio deck and Decided to walk 9 yesterday 3 pm at Pine Creek GC Purvis Ms. Just south of Hattiesburg. Geezer hacker friendly with wide fairways. Lots of pu trucks in lot , Mississippi you know, so something was going on . Having their "Masters". On way out , met & congratulated Roy Hilton ,2017 winner, happily holding his yellow green Masters flag smiling ear to ear. Shot 34 on back 9 to win. Greens slick fast and holes on hard slopes , killers! Thought I was doing fairly good but greens ruined that idea.
Elbow Joints acting up so dug my graphite fat shafted wilson deep reds out. Lofts more helpful than eye 2s I've been trying out. Thought l'd croak pushing my Sun Mountain cart up the big hill to #4.
Puffing like steam engine pulling 100 cars up a grade but didnt care because
i Hit my best shots ever on 2, & 3 using a recycled yellow Himalayan Top Rock distance ball. (Found " him a laying" by cart path )
TEE 4 wood for little baby draw from 185 yd white members tee on #2 stopped just off front of green. Thinking, oh yea, this might be a good round even from these tees. Then I putted. Oh well, next?
137 yd parr 3 to postage stamp sloping green, why does it look so much further than it used to? 7 iron for me , hit it absolutely flush, the shot that keeps you coming back again, rolled just past hole , uphill. Barely touched putt, rolled off bottom side of green, next?
Mostly went to pot from there, but made some decent approach shots with old idrive 4 rescue, my first component custom club. Legs held well, much to my surprise, considering state of the union.
Hope y'all had a nice Saturday too.
