Seymore101 Does playing more translate into lower scores?
When I played more (at least 9 hole a week for much of the season) I played much better. A lot easier to regain tempo and retain flexibility when playing more often. Play or practice, it doesn't matter, but both take time I haven't wanted to give from other things when the family came along. I've never had a good short game no matter how much I played, but when I played regularly scores in the 80's were common and 94 was a bad day. Now, I sometimes shoot in the 100's and have days where I only hit a handful of good shots rather than a handful of bad shots.
