Good game between Arkansas and Kansas. I’m a bit surprised that the Razorbacks pulled it off.

johnnydoom Kansas imploded down the stretch missed a few easy shots, TOs and by Mayo. Inexcusable
. But yes it was the best game of the tournament so far. Runs by both teams.

The ACC, with the exception of Duke is just what all the critics have already noted. They're no longer one of the best conferences for college hoops. All this NIL and portal stuff has passed them bye.

Robert Morris giving Alabama all they can handle.

Mississippi State Bulldogs out in the first game for the 2nd year in a row. SEC in general definitely showing that the individual athletic talent that allows them to beat good teams outside of the conference early in the year doesn't show up nearly as good after "teams" get a season of blending together.

Didn't even realize it, but 12th seeded Colorado St. is actually favored -2.5 to beat 5th seed Memphis. Not too surprising given the 10 game win streak Colorado St. is riding. Hope my Tigers have a good 2nd half and don't let that happen.

2 years in a row the two teams I care about are out before the first weekend of the tournament.

The 2nd half of the Ole Miss vs Norrh Carolina game was about as low energy as I’ve seen in a long time. For awhile it looked like Ole Miss thought it was a casual shoot around.

That was cool. The coach at Norfolk St. said the point spread against Florida is an insult. I wish him and his team well, but they better hope that Florida now doesn’t take it as a challenge to make it look too conservative. Florida has been bad nasty to great teams lately.

johnnydoom It was close until Tipoff; something with Utah State, HC said they can win the National Championship--maybe next year

St. John’s struggling mightily against Arkansas! Foul trouble and playing flat.

I believe it's about time for some sort of Upset. Geez! I've got no horse in the race so, I always root for the underdog. Chalk's been cleaning up this year!

professor It was predicted prior to the tournament that it would go a lot more chalk than prior years. This is likely a by-product of NIL.

professor BYU is solid, lots of screens and movement on O, tough to defend! An upset by the seed, but in reality not much of one they were seeded lower then they should have been and were relatively close to home. Wisco got screwed being sent West after 4 games in a row in the conference tournament. Surprised they weren't in Milwaukee. Gonna be a BYU fan and cheer them on....lot to like!

Meh, I don't know about "screwed". I've seen similar scenarios in being "sent" wherever. It's the tournament and regions won't necessarily be evenly distributed across the country. Can only play what's on your schedule.

Because of my Pitt connection, I'm more familiar with the ACC. But now, I'm hoping for BYU. In particular, their "big guy" looks like he might have the tools to defend Duke's Cooper Flagg? I hope they get the shot at Duke.

professor Long way to go before the Duke-BYU match-up could develop. I think it might be an interesting game, but I have watched Flagg a lot and I don't think anybody on the BYU team is a good match-up. Anything could happen, and BYU did beat Kansas by 37 points earlier this year, but imsusledt BYU, if it gets that far, would be over matched by Duke.

Time will tell. Most of the time, match-ups that people think about end up not happening.

By the way, BYU is going to be joined next season by the top freshman in the country, AJ Dybantsa (next year's Cooper Flagg), so they will probably continue to be a force in college basketball for a while, regardless of what happens in the tournament.

I thought Florida would be the team to beat in this tournament and it looked like UConn was going to take them down.
