johnnydoom From what I saw (didn't see much of yesterday's play) his physical game was almost flawless and the only mistakes were mental. He executed the shots correctly, but sometimes he attempted the wrong shot for the situation.
I watched the whole thing. When watching Rory in Majors recently you tend to get the whole Rory experience. lol Rory didn't have his A game yesterday, He hit some spectacular shots and hit some really bad shots.
He started out double bogey and the tournament flipped in an instant. But he came back. He seemingly had the tournament in hand and played the par 5 #13 conservatively laying up for his approach shot.
He said he had 82 yards to the pin. Has the whole state of Georgia on the left side of the green to hit and worst case he gets a par. But nope, he inexplicably hits his wedge to the right of the pin and it runs down into the water for double. He choked.
Anyway, the real takeaway is Rory despite not having his A game his resiliency was off the charts. The emotional roller coaster was unbelievable. He made that win much harder than it had to be.
