Anybody remember TourSwing golf? I loved their TS Vengeance shaft. Anyway I was trying to remember the names of a couple of their drivers that I had. One was called like the 5n2? Half n half? Then there was another kind of like the Encore but I know that was SMT. Anybody remember?

Just remembered the one was the Octane

I've got an Octane in 11.5 or 12 somewhere -- hit it a little too high, but was a bomber. Never managed to find a lower loft. There's a Pure Ice head around somewhere, too.

I had a 10.5* Tour Swing Infringer Driver in awesome shape. Loaned it to a friend who just started golf.
Has an Accura regular flex shaft. It was as long as anything back in the day.

Was doing some googling , not much to be found but did see some more driver names, The Fusion and The TVC. I had a TVC. Different shaped head.

Didn’t the TVC run afoul of the conforming list?
I recall that they judged it to not be of conventional shape, even though the major OEMs had square heads out.

Quality stuff from a quality guy (Tim Chopp)
I had a Tylex and a LD400 at one time.
      The colours were well done.
IIRC, the 5n2 had a carbon crown and a unique paint job. Might have been his best seller?
I have a 55g Motega shaft in my 3 wood, a green Okato, a purple Okato (my fav) and a gayass blue Vengeance that my son uses.
Also have a limited edition Masters Green Okato that Rory sent me. I had that one in a Bang Mellow Yellow driver. 😮

I had a few of their driver heads and they were good. Also still have 2 different demo irons a forged and 2-piece and they were very nice.

Did Tourswing make the Horsepower golf heads (Pat Dempsey)?

SMT made them (or had them made for Pat in the same foundry) in the beginning, IIRC.

Bill Schroeder Packers WR from Sheboygan, WI was on TS LDA staff for awhile. Bill was a track star at UW-LaCrosse played football for LaCrosse only 1 year 4.2 40, 44" vertical leap. Packers drafted him in the 6th round in 1994.

Bill could hit some bombs. Chad/ode I would think would have played #10 par 5 at Brown Co. GBay.

I haven't heard from Tim in years. Hope he is good.

Big fan of TourSwing. Tim was like many supporters of this web site... gave that personal touch and answered questions you had with a quick response. Never overhyped his products and never got way out there pricing items compared to similar market value.

If anyone has contact, please let us know how he is doing.

I have at least one, maybe two Vengeance shaft pulls if you're interested. I'll sell to you cheap or we could trade something. Send me a PM if interested.

Spuzz I remember the 5n2 was on my list to try when I was playing lots of other popular components of that time, but I never acquired one. It seemed to be very well received on FGI.

Had an LD Tour. Sweet spot was the size of a dime, if that large.
Worst driver ever, in my hands back then.

Tim has been playing Fire Ridge Ozaukee Co. Grafton, WI with a 12 hdcp GHIN. @ode would fit right in. 😁

scotts33 some serious recoil there! Yep, #10 at BC is a nice par 5. The clip does not capture the elevation change from the tee- down↘️ to the landing area back up↗️. For an average hitter it's a bomb to get to the flat. It sweeps left to right. It's not a hard driving hole, but just enough trouble to get your attention, miss right and it could be trouble or blocked from going at/towards the green. A little bail out in the left rough. The next hole #11 is my favorite on the course. Love that hole!

I had the 5n2 and the TVC. Tim was a stand up guy. I had the 5n2 and cracked the crown, turns out it wasn’t intended for guys who swing over 105mph, but that was never stated anywhere. He replaced it with the TVC and Avenger shaft for me, unfortunately the shaft wasn’t really stiff enough for me, but man that head was good stuff.
