Kind of funny story that goes with selling my car on Marketplace. It's a 1983 Pontiac Trans Am with many miles on it, and issues. I list it as "needing work" and list some of the issues, but it does run and drive. After some "is it a daily driver" inquiries and some sketchy looking "interested" people, a guy from Germany asks about it. He takes these year Firebirds and turns them into K.I.T.T. (Knight Rider) cars, and does really good looking work! So I cut him a break on the price because he has to ship it, but thought it would be cool to have it in the hands of someone that will fix it up. I dig out the Title, never got the lien signed off. So I go to the Credit Union where the loan was paid off in the 1990's and they need a VIN to look up the loan. I ask for a piece of paper and write out the VIN from memory so they can look it up, I had owned it since 1985. After arranging pickup, a guy texts me to get directions and the map shows all the city names in Russian WTF. But he shows up at the designated time and place, I sign the Title and off it went to Germany. He did fix it up nice, his page is titled KITT Mulheim.
