A lot of greats got in with far less than 300 wins -- Bob Feller, Whitey Ford, Jim Bunning, Red Ruffing, Jim Palmer, Bob Gibson, Catfish Hunter, Juan Marichal, Bob Lemon. Sandy Koufax and Lefty Gomez didn't even reach 200 ... 300 was considered automatic, and I guess if anybody else ever gets there again, they will be. I'm not really a "big Hall" guy, and there are some in there that I don't think belong, but the Hall likes more inductees, more players from more teams means more fans visiting Cooperstown.
