azgreg Those are fine if you're going to plop yourself at a campsite and not move. But I'd rather have something detachable so you don't have to haul the whole thing if you're sightseeing, golfing, etc.

If I wasn't entrenched here and like the cold and don't have many weather issues here like in other parts of the world. I'd be a Nomad. I'd be in the winter out west of you AZ guys in Slab City CA BLM land or somewhere out there in the desert winter only. I could do a Tear Drop easily. Play Minimalist golf and live as a Minimalist also.

There's lots to like at The Villages. Shit tons of golf, amenities, shopping, entertainment, food, bars, medical, professional, schools. Like I said before it's a planet of it's own. It's not crowded in the May thru October timeframe, but it can be crazy during the snowbird season. It's a paradise to some, not so for others. Too busy and too "close" for me.

sdandrea1 I thought about it as my son can't drive and may never drive. However, a golf cart might work, and I thought we could live there, and he will be more independent and ultimately take care of me later. But no, Las Cruces it is. Recently got him a mobility scooter, almost golf cart like and he is mobile.

I could probably do an RV for about 2-3 weeks, but then I'd get tired of living that way, sell it for about 2/3 for what I paid for it and wonder why I'm broke all the time.

They're kinda like boats right? They say teh two happiest days of a boat owners life is when they buy it and when they sell it.

Very true. I've always wanted a Bass Tracker fishing boat. But I probably like the thought of having one more than I would welcome the hassle that comes with owning one.

Some people just like to tinker with them. Many do the same with their vehicles. I have had some type of boat for 50 years. We finally retired from boating 5 years ago and I really miss it. Here is our last boat the "Plan B"
