Not my way of doing things. I could just put them in the city trash that gets picked up at my house but I want to do the right thing. I wouldn't want someone's kid or dog accidentally getting into these somehow. We have raccoons than can almost pick the lock on your door. I took a large box of lithium batteries (LIPO) from my RC model days and put them in the recycle bin at the entrance to Lowes.

Loving this thread! My wife always has expired stuff in the house: meds, food, etc. I have to throw stuff out when she's not looking, but that's tough because she's almost always home. I sometimes get my oldest kid to throw stuff out when she visits. She's 25 and flips out at my wife when she finds expired stuff in the pantry. She enjoys organizing and throwing stuff away....sadly the youngest that still lives with us does NOT enjoy cleaning and organizing. I come from a long line of packrats, but we don't keep expired food or meds just various nuts, bolts, screws and other useless things that we may need in years to come.

Our son used to reject milk that was past it's "sell by" date. I couldn't convince him that it ain't expired until you can smell it. One day he says "this milk is bad" (sell by date was same day). I took the carton and a sharpie and fixed the sell by date and handed it back to him.

Hospital given pain medication, I will keep. I might need the extra strength stuff at some point. Not sure it truly goes bad. Salt, sugar, peppercorns, bags of rice and beans will be kept until needed.

No my wife (and life) is probably worse as she hasn't had a job in 7.5 years....and worked part time at most for 17 years before that. And apparently still has not fully recovered from her 3rd foot surgery so she pretty much does nothing all day. I'm the luckiest man alive 🙄

mulegolf Our houseguest had some Thera -something or other. I took that yesterday. Took it at 8 am. Started feeling better around noon. I was going to take it again and then I saw it was 4 hour stuff. So….. it seemed to take 4 hours to work. I didn’t bother anymore. We had some cough medicine I took last night, didn’t bother looking at the date… pointless🙄. Seemed to help though. Slept well. Pretty much fine now although the gym was a killer.Saturday- Tuesday cold… pretty normal time span

I've found some of these cold/cough/congestion meds to work very well. Maybe too well.

A few weeks ago I had stuffy nose, slight cough, a bit of chest congestion. I finally bought some of those tabs that take care of it all. They sometimes make me jittery, or even give me diarrhea, but I bought them anyway. They worked great, without any side effects. Next day I was feeling just fine.

And that box is still on the counter.............unopened!!
Absolute miracle pills. Do not even need to ingest them for full benefits.👍

rsvman2 makes me feel better about feeling like Mucinex doesn’t do a damn thing. I know people who swear by it, but I know people that swear fish tastes good too, so I trust no one.
