Par4QC sight. I will shock you when I state that it had been 23 years since my last new fitting!! Even the optometrist was shocked. But my prescription had only changed slightly.

For many as you get older your eyesight can actually get better. Being near sighted I was a -125 and now I’m down to a minus 50.

The down side is for reading is I’m up to a plus 2.00.

Sneakylong Similar here. My distance vision is improving slightly year over year, but my very close vision is slowly getting worse. Don't need reading glasses yet, but probably will soon. I now need to use a magnifier to tie knots in fine fishing line. I don't even wear my glasses much of the day now unless I'm outside.

This is normal. Even if you had a LASIK eye procedure to correct near sightedness, depending on age you’d need glasses eventually to read. You’re basically swapping one for the other (good distance vision, for less close up vision).

With the caveat that if you’re young you may not need the readers until your 40’s / 50’s.

I know you were speaking in general and not about me specifically. I’m 62 and have been nearsighted since I was 23. Still am fuzzy in the left eye at distance, but my right eye is almost back to normal now. Until a few years ago I could focus sharply as close as three inches. Now everything inside of ten inches is fuzzy with the left and the right has to be at arms length.

I have both Maui Jim and Oakley prescription sunglasses. I like the styling of both.

I wish MJ had a golf specific lense as they are by far the highest quality sunglasses I’ve owned and it’s not close.

When ordered, the Oakley’s took about 10-14 days to receive whereas the MJ’s took two days to be received.
