darpar the short answer is "no".
FreeCAD is packed full of features and interesting abilities. Every time I tackle a new project I learn something about the software or the interface. It's very powerful, but it's also entirely parametric, meaning everything you do has to be defined by a number or a dimension. There's no sculpting or doodling.
In spite of a steep learning curve, I feel that it's worth learning if you plan to do a lot of modelling and building. Lots of resources out there including a fairly complete Wiki, and the recent release of the 1.0 version fixed a lot of quality of life issues and bugs.
