Tcafla I’m in FL. I don’t even bother looking at what I pay because it will make me sick.
That’s why we decided to go self insured on home insurance. We have our auto insurance with the same agent / insurer that used to sell us our homeowners insurance. She said a lot of her customers are going self insured.
Again….. Everyone thinks Florida is a cheap state to live. Not anymore. Some of the highest home owners insurance and auto insurance in the country.
We complained to our insurance agent that we were paying $2900 for auto insurance a year (2018 Kia Forte / 2008 Hyundai Elantra). Never had an accident. We have very good coverage (100,000-300,000 liability etc.).
I’ve been driving 54 years and have never had an accident or speeding ticket etc..🤞
She said she and her husband were paying over $16,000 in auto insurance. 😮 We left her office not feeling so bad. I’ll say it again. When I was a kid and we were riding into Boston. My grandfather said look at the tallest buildings.
They were all insurance company buildings. 🤔John Hancock and Prudential etc.. Again, when I was mentored learning how to count cards in blackjack back in the 70’s. He always said insurance just as in life, was a bad bet. 😉
