So basically movies people can’t believe you’ve never seen…

For me…
Any Star Wars Movie
Any Lord of the Rings Movies
Any Harry Potter Movies

As a side note, my pro at indoor golf who is almost 60 has never seen Caddyshack or Happy Gilmore, only parts.

Same for me. No interest whatsoever for such nonsense.

And the only John Wayne movie I recall watching in it's entirety was The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. But, I consider that a Jimmy Stewart movie, thus why I watched it. John Wayne was a terrible actor.

I'm with you on all these except Star Wars, I saw the first one as a teen, wasn't overwhelmed. I took my nephews to see the second one and a great nephew to see Rogue One (I think it was called). None of that stuff interests me. I just saw Avatar this year.

Agreed but, I love "The Quiet Man", filmed at Ashford Castle in Ireland. Because it's funny and I love Maureen O'Hara!

I have not seen "The Godfather" - just snippets although I read the book.

Totally disagree about the Duke. He was a fine actor with marvelous presence. Some people say a good actor is one that has range and can play different roles. John Wayne was one that could play one style or role so convincingly well that others can’t do. He was a larger than life character that has never been copied, replaced or surpassed.
I can’t stand Woody Allen movies and have not been able to watch one in its entirety.
No Barbie. Have not seen Oppenheimer yet. Won’t see the remake of Death Wish with Bruce Wilis. A Christmas Story is one I’ve seen only clips of.

I’ve never seen ET. Only saw the first Harry Potter movie and fell asleep watching it at the theater! Haven’t seen any Fast and Furious movie, The Shawshank Redemption, Fight Club, or any Back to the Future movies.

Cult classics mostly is what I mean. 10 years from now, nobody gives a shit about Oppenheim for example… and probably Titanic as well. There were no figurines, Happy Meal Toys…

Christmas movies like Christmas Vacation is the cult classic of the Vacation movies. It’s a Wonderful life, Christmas Story… ones like these, never won an award. I have never watched It’s A Wonderful Life

Typhoon It’s a Wonderful Life was a movie I avoided for most of my life. Long dramas aren’t my thing, but I forced myself to finally watch it several years ago. A great movie with perhaps the greatest acting performance of all time by Jimmy Stewart. I avoided Miracle on 34th Street for similar reasons and finally watched it in recent years. Very good movie.

I’ve seen all of A Christmas Story, but not at one time. I started to watch it from the beginning once and found it too crude to sit through. I do love the leg lamp and boot to the face scenes though.

I watch it every year on the evening of Christmas after everybody has left or gone to bed. It's all about appreciation. Yes, it's dated.

I went many years without seeing it, but it is a great movie. Star Wars is probably more realistic though as people would never come together to help George Bailey in real life.

I may have seen everything mentioned here, except Barbie. All of the series too, Godfather, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Die Hard, etc. I like movies, but don't go to the Cinema anymore due to hearing loss and I can watch them at home soon enough after release. I still occasionally take the grandkids to the theater, but that's it. I'm not sure there will be any more epic films.

Probably never be an "Epic" movie again because of lack of money...Costs $100 million to do a POS movie, would probably be close to a billion to do an epic. Other problem is no imagination or good writers on the Left Coast anymore - they just do fluff movies or retreads of past movies and the Chinese are only interested on a ROI on their money, not top notch cinematic excellence..
