Yup! It's "human services" and you don't get to choose your humans. Best have a strong stomach and a generally charitable disposition. Personally, on the receiving end - all my Uber drivers have been great! I first got introduced in using the service when visiting my grown kids and the other siblings and their spouses all along. You can request a large vehicle, like a Suburban and it's just so convenient. In some cases it was like having a tour guide.
'Funnest' ride was a couple years ago, went on a 'guy' vacation with one of my college roommates. We took an Uber to the restaurant, on one of the Finger Lakes, then fireworks show over the marina on the 3rd of July. Had a few beverages and we got picked up by a young woman driver. She was multi-tasking and was also delivering Chinese take-out. She stopped along our way back to our hotel to deliver the food order. Neat kid, smart kid. How she felt about what might be typical fears for a young woman, driving alone? I don't know. But she was a "treat"! LOL
