I know "my brain" works a bit different from others. And, I believe that's okay because I even have debates with myself in many ways. We're all individuals, just stating the obvious.
Nonetheless, I'm pretty damn sure that we're not supposed to know or are not entitled to know what's going on. Seems Governor Murphy is simply clearing the air in a purposeful and ambiguous way for reasons that might not be disclosed.
Begs the question; are American citizens entitled to more detailed information about what may readily be our own military's drones?

As far as anything military goes, that is where the U.S. citizens are too damn nosy!! Not just curious....f'n nosy as hell!!
When I see any details in print/on news about military ops, I shake my head. Unless it is after the fact.

But that Gov could have made a better statement to allay concerns. jmo

It may not be possible, but not all that many civilians own drones that have a range much more than a couple of miles. It's home is probably not far away. If it's a military drone ogling your daughter and you bring it down it will be interesting to hear the stories you might have to tell. But most likely they will tell you the same thing that they probably told Governor Murphy "Be quiet - it's none of your business".

Biggest problem with shooting at drones is the damn things have cameras and they feed the video live back to the controller. You could literally shoot at one and have law enforcement at your door same day.

I'd say the biggest problem is missing it. Now you have a bullet in the air that has to come down in a neighborhood.

jsippy73 I did, I said Nope to this being allowed. Does not mean some pilot flew in an unallowed fashion. This does happen but a pilot never signed out a jet by telling them they were going to just buzz around. Does not happen this way. I have done exactly what they story says.

Understand, but he flew from Erie, Pa. to some base in Texas. More than a little devation from a route. Not complaining, I enjoyed it. Just didn't think something like that would be permitted. I like to learn how things work.

jsippy73 Yes, understand. Pilots do stupid shit every day. Not approved but try to get away with it. the most dangerous are those that do "fini- rides" Last flight before retirement type stuff. Many have died.

LBlack14 Regs state that the operator must keep the drone in visual line of sight, or have someone else watching it.

When you see it flying around, just take a gander around the neighborhood. iirc your place, it's gotta be someone very close...you'd be able to spot them. IF they are following laws. If not...kill the damn thing. And the operator when he comes over to complain.😉Or just cut his dick off.
