Anyone else following this? Wasn't it this time last year when Chinese spy balloons entered US airspace?

Yes, I do recall the kerfuffle. Was it multiple "balloons". I recall it being one. Might not be my first time being wrong.

The resolution of reconnaissance satellites is at least 10 centimeters or better. If these drones are being used for malicious purposes, it's by someone without access to high resolution satellites.

Drones of all nature, sorts, and sizes.
Just saw a video yesterday of like 5000 drones used in a computerized holiday lights festival display.
Seems to me that drones are also legal for private citizens. I do not know where they're at in regard to "protected air space".

The FAA has some requirements WRT resident -owned drones. Tough to enforce, I'm sure.

Are you referring to the spy balloons that were tracked while Biden is president? Or are you referring to the ones that were tracked while Trump, Obama, Bush (both), Clinton, etc etc etc, were president?
