Moeman I'm the opposite, no longer go to a person to check out. I'll wait 10 mins line for self-check out before a person.
I don’t buy much so the self checkout is fine. I do laugh though at Walmart where they have 10 registers with nobody on them and a line 100’ long for the self checkouts with Mohammed guiding everyone to the checkout with the green light.
10 hotdogs, 8 hotdog buns.

Bravopilot Wife does most of grocery shopping. I sometimes do it but a list is a must have. With a few items always the self checkout. But my favorite is when you do to a regular checkout and they pretend you are not there or are talking with each other about when they are going on break, or on a rare occasion when I use cash, they don't have the change they need and have to call the stupidvisor. (Walmart).

Same thing up here - boggles my mind why people stay in the self checkout line sometimes unless they are all trying to steal an item or 2.
I use the self checkout everywhere I can. Seems to work fine. You guys are doing it wrong. 
I only use self check when I'm in a hurry, and only have a handful of items. Otherwise I'll stand in line and wait. I don't get paid to check, and they sure won't give me employee discount for doing the job.
And these stores wonder why so many shop on Amazon 
Doctor offices/hospitals......don't they know I can't hear? WhyTH do they keep leaving messages for me to call them back?
Left turn Lane traffic lights that let 3 cars through and then turn yellow. 
I usually play golf in the afternoon, not too busy then, but man I can't believe all the lazy ass
people who can't seem to fix their pitch marks on the greens or pour a little sand in their divots!
This time of year the shopping cart lazy asses are out in full monty. Just leave it wherever you want...... it's fine......really.
