But when you're trying to use your phone, perhaps it's texting other people you need to communicate something to, you still see a notification that you received a text and it gets annoying.
The only "out" that I know of is to block everyone on the text chain. Now, I automatically do that to the numbers I'm not familiar with. And have blocked the contacts in my phone who also have a habit of doing it.
And when they ask me a month later, "Hey, did you get a new number? You're not responding to my text messages" I tell them, "No, I didn't change my number. I blocked you because it was the only way I could not have my phone blow up in your group texts."
He was actually offended that I would do that.
Well, I find it equally offensive to be forced to participate in a discussion I want no part of.
I f'n hate group texts.
