I find that you cant go wrong with a typical BBQ rub that includes:
Brown sugar
Salt
Pepper
Onion powder
Garlic powder
Smoked paprika
Ground mustard
Dried thyme
Some red chilli flakes or cayenne if thats your thing
I use this when I smoke pork
Just don't overcook your pork ( too many people do that ) . Air fryers are much better than BBQ for ensuring they stay moist.
A good Japanese or Korean BBQ sauce is also great on pork. I typically buy Bachans off amazon. Its versatile as well. Last night reheated some roasted chicken I had in the freezer , added some Bachans and some kimchee and served it on a big white crusty roll ....
